Providence Health & Services Ultrasound Technologist in Seaside, Oregon
Providence is calling an Ultrasound Technologist (0.6 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside , OR. This position will be 24 hours a week with some call responsibilities. The schedule will consist of 3 - 8 hour days during the week.
In this position, you will:
Perform ultrasound examinations according to physician orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated ultrasound equipment, taking into account the individual patient special or age-related needs.
Perform all duties in a manner, which promotes team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification
New graduates must be board eligible and obtain permanent certification within 6 months of hire
Current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) as a Medical Sonographer
New graduates must have OBMI temporary license upon hire and obtain permanent license within 6 months
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification
Computer skills and knowledge of keyboard functionality
Completion of pledge to Image Gently/Image Wisely within 1 month of hire
Ability to read, write and speak English
Expert knowledge of anatomy and physiology, imaging principles and practices, as well as the ability to obtain high-quality images
Adherence to appropriate professional credentialing practice standards
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 2 years of clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound
