Providence Health & Services Registered Respiratory Therapist in Seaside, Oregon


Providence is calling a Registered Respiratory Therapist (0.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Take exceptional care of people by providing independent coordination of respiratory care and implementation of respiratory care policy, procedure and/or protocols under the direction and supervision of a physician.

  • Apply advanced clinical expertise, scientific knowledge, and theory in the respiratory care of patients exercising independent judgment.

  • Function in a leadership capacity as charge therapist, patient assessor, preceptor and/or instructor as assigned.

  • Utilize decision-making skills and critical thinking abilities (analytical skills, problem-solving, and negotiation skills) while performing all duties.

  • Promote the safety and well being of all patients and support the key result areas of Providence Health & Services (Clinical Quality, Service Excellence, Financial Performance and Positioning for the Future).


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate of American Medical Association (AMA) approved School of Respiratory Therapy and/or an Associates Degree for Cardiac Resynchronization Therapists (CRTs)

  • Associates - Respiratory Therapy,

  • Successful completion of the entry-level (CRT) exam

  • Licensed by Oregon State medical examiners

  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the State of OR

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

  • American Heart Association (AHA) cardiopulmonary resuscitation/Automated external defibrillator (CPR/AED) for Healthcare Provider

  • 0-1 years of basic computer/word processing skills

  • 0-1 years of excellent verbal communication skills

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor - Respiratory Therapy

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
