Providence Health & Services Supervisor – Health Care Access & Registration *Sign-On Bonus $1,500 in Portland, Oregon

Providence is calling a Supervisor of Healthcare Access & Registration for Providence Home Services in Portland, Oregon! This position is eligible for a $1,500 sign on bonus! Approximatley 50% paid upon hire and 50% paid after 12 months of employment.

We are seeking a Supervisor of Healthcare Access & Registration who will provide direct supervision of Access team operations in Providence Home Medical Equipment Access Services. The supervisor is responsible for all operational functions including referral and patient access, accurate and timely completion of medical equipment orders, and facilitation of insurance payment through insurance verification and authorization processes. Position oversees the placement of orders for medical equipment, oxygen, sleep therapy, enteral feeding and related services.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily activities and work flows of HME Access teams and Order Qualification staffs

  • Oversee placement of orders for medical equipment, oxygen, sleep therapy, enteral feeding and related services

  • Manage customer order and order qualification financial performance

  • Conduct caregiver performance management processes

  • Manage scheduling and staff placement to address department requirements and referral flow processes

  • Ensure caregiver competency in assigned functions by providing training and development activities

  • Analyze key operational performance measures and implements performance improvements within assigned Access teams

  • Engage in intra departmental ministry performance improvement with other Core Leaders

  • Develop summaries of key performance indicators

  • Develop summaries of staff performance including quality of work, barriers to performances, and training requirements

  • Maintain knowledge of Access Services functions, policies and procedures including order intake, order qualification, quality assurance, and store front functions

  • Maintain working knowledge of the HME software transaction system: the Time Information Management System

  • Maintain current knowledge of HME equipment, supplies, services, and multi-department operations

  • Maintain working relationships with home care providers, insurance payers, case managers, physicians, hospital and long term care facility staff and Home Services Core Leaders

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate Degree -or- two to four (2 to 4) years of related experience

Preferred qualifications for this position includes:

  • Experience in insurance registration (qualification), phone center management, and customer service

  • One (1) year supervisory experience

  • Two (2) years experience with computer transaction system including data entry/inquiry in a complex business environment
