Providence Special Procedures Technologist in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a S pecial Procedures Technologist to our Cardiovascular Laboratory at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. This is a full-time, benefited position. Schedule is variable with four 10-hour work days that will fall between Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.). This position also requires call.
We are seeking a Special Procedures Technologist - Cardiovascular Laboratory that will perform, assist, and complete Cardiac and Vascular Radiographic examinations, and active Radiographic Interventional Procedures in Cardiovascular Lab using a variety of complicated and sophisticated equipment
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Accurate patient positioning and selection of radiographic techniques to allow optimal visualization and minimum radiation exposure to patient, physicians, and personnel
Scrub and assist physician in performing procedures when designated
Preparation and turnover of examination rooms
Trouble shooting and minor repair of equipment in cardiovascular labs
Enter information into physiologic monitor computer and monitor EKG and blood pressure during angiographic procedures
Completes all paper work in a timely manner for each examination
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Licensure in State of Oregon
Current AHA BLS certification
Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Technology highly desirable
ACLS within one year of hire. (Effective 6/04)
Analytical and strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to anticipate priorities for optimum patient care
Effective problem solving techniques related to equipment failures
Adaption to dynamic work environment
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Experience in special procedures.
