Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Financial Analyst PSJH. This position can work remotely and candidates can live in the following states: AK, WA, MT, OR, CA and TX.
Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH), a $25B health system, is seeking a motivated, mission focused, results-driven and enthusiastic Senior Financial Analyst to play an integral role in our healthcare transformation journey by providing analyses and support for our labor productivity and benchmarking activities that help drive effective stewardship of the organization’s resources. As we continue to move to a patient centric, digitally enabled health care model utilizing strategic partnerships and new sources of revenue, the need to understand and effectively communicate value creation drivers and sustainable financial strategies is paramount to delivering the PSJH mission.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver actionable insights generated by our management reporting and analyses in written, graphical, and verbal formats to inform and empower senior leadership across the organization.
Provide consulting services to system operations, various functions and clinical programs to evaluate opportunities to improve financial performance and/or mission return.
Connect strategic decisions and options with financial analysis and impacts, including the risks of status quo.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders and leaders across the organization.
Contribute to the creation of Financial Planning and Analysis best practices for labor productivity, benchmarking and performance management.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent education/experience.
5 years Analytical and Business experience.
2 years healthcare related experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master’s Degree, MBA/CPA/CMA
Knowledge of financial principles and practices and the ability to apply them effectively
Knowledge of labor productivity and benchmarking concepts, data and systems.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial and labor productivity and benchmarking data.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to create and drive insightful analytical models.
Demonstrated executive presence with strong oral and written communication skills with a keen ability to distill complex analysis into impactful yet simple and concise stories.
Ability to collaborate and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organizations, and creating effective business partnerships.
Ability to "think outside the box" and not be hindered by how things have been done in the past.
