Providence Health & Services Sales RFP Coordinator in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Sales RFP Coordinator to Providence Health Plan in Portland, OR. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with proven marketing communications and RFPs (Request for Proposals) experience to join our Group Sales Department!
In this position, you will:
Play a key role in the communication of information to external customers with an emphasis on insurance brokers and employer groups.
Be directly responsible for writing legal proposals, Request for Proposals (RFPs) and surveys, which require an in-depth understanding of health plan contracts, reimbursement models, administrative capabilities and quality improvement processes.
Write and design overhead presentations and displays for sales staff and other related health plan staff.
Be responsible for the implementation of complex, high-profile accounts and the implementation of Administrative Services Only (ASO) accounts requiring significant negotiation with the group and or the consultant regarding financial and contract terms, SPD development, benefit design, and reporting requirements.
Required qualifications for this position include:
3 years of experience working in marketing, sales proposals,communications or insurance industry
2 years of experience in a communication position with extensive writing responsibilities
Account management experience
Ability to work with the client's senior leaders during ASO implementation
Demonstrated ability to set up and manage a database
Solid computer skills with working knowledge of word processing, database, presentation design, and spreadsheet programs
Proven ability to communicate verbally and in writing with the highest level of management within the Health Plan and with customers and consultants
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Degree in journalism, communications, or related field
Strong carrier background who understands operations, underwriting, medical management & regulatory
Desktop publishing and knowledge of graphic principles
