Providence RN - Surgical Unit in Portland, Oregon

Description

RN - Surgical Unit at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. This position will work three (3), 12-hour Night shifs per week.

$6,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Increased wages effective July 15, 2022, with the new union contract at Providence St Vincent’s Medical Center.

Required qualification in this position includes:

  • Nursing degree/diploma required upon hire

  • All Registered Nurses without a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing must obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing -OR- higher within three (3) years of hire

  • A RN with twenty (20) years of RN experience will not be required to obtain a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Unencumbered RN license in state(s) of hire, and wherever care is delivered

  • If RN holds a multistate license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), the RN must adhere to the requirements of licensure in the new state(s) of hire

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from the following authorized governing bodies:

  • American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider),

  • American Red Cross (ARC) - (BLS for Health Care Provider), -OR-

  • Military Training Network (MTN) – (Healthcare Provider) upon hire

  • One (1) year acute care experience working with the patient population similar to Surgical Unit -OR- completion of the specialty residency located at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center

Preferred qualification in this position includes:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

  • National Certification in Medical Surgical Nursing
