Providence Health & Services RN - Housing Nurse in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - Glendoveer Residential Care Facility to Providence Elderplace Glendoveer in Porltand, OR.
In this position, you will:
Provide and supervise nursing care for residents of ElderPlace program housing. Care will be based on the nursing process and be consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act and Oregon Administrative Rules for Assisted Living Facilities.
Apply knowledge of the nursing process by delegating, teaching and monitoring what promotes patients’ optimal health and independence.
Possess a broad range of general nursing knowledge, skills and expertise.
Possess development and validation of knowledge and skills essential to the assigned department, patient population and/or practice area.
Participate in clinical teams and supervise, assign or delegate nursing tasks to Personal Care Aides (PCA’s).
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification within 6 months of hire
Relevant training and certifications applicable to the position, as specified by the Nurse Manager
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing
1 year of acute care RN experience
Experience working in a ICF / SNF facility as a Resident Care Manager
