Providence Health & Services Resident Psychologist in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Psychology Resident (1.0 FTE, Days) to the Central Point Medical Clinic in Central Point, OR.
In this position, you will:
Provide the highest quality primary care by addressing the biological, psychological and social factors influencing patients’ health and health behaviors.
Recognizes the importance of participating in training programs that ensure the availability of Psychologists with expertise in the area of primary care.
Have primary functions that are within the Patient-Centered Medical Home providing brief, evidence-based interventions to patients, and providing consultation/training for the primary care team.
Work within the Patient Centered Medical Home Model in coordination with multiple PCPs and serves as a link to an identified population of patients. Through skilled assessment, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources.
Assist patients to gain self-efficacy, management skills, achieve optimum functional health status, and quality of life.
Assist patients/families, providers and staff to achieve high quality, evidence based, cost-effective, and patient focused outcomes.
Work under minimal supervision and performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concepts and reflects the Providence Health & Services mission, philosophy, and core values as well as maintaining the principles and ethics of their discipline.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Must be eligible for licensure with the Oregon Board of Psychologist Examiners and have an application on file with the board
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Doctorate in Psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA)-Accredited Program
Completion of PMG BHI Internship
Experience in a primary care setting
