Providence Research Assistant in Portland, Oregon


Participate as a key member of the clinical research department, assisting with research-related projects and overall department processes and workflows.

  • Negotiate and track confidential disclosure agreements (CDAs) for clinical trials.

  • Enters clinical trial information into Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS).

  • Builds data capture forms within CTMS.

  • Extracts patient and study data from the CTMS.

  • Completes all assigned administrative tasks (e.g., form completion, creating checklists, developing templates) in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Assists research staff in the internal and external distribution of study-related information including but not limited to approved study documents, study forms, training information, reports, and correspondence.

  • Collaborates with staff to organize office, filing systems (electronic and paper), and improve existing workflows and processes.

  • Create, track, and maintain study-specific trainings.

  • Develops PowerPoint and/or PDF slides for presentations.

  • Attends assigned meetings, takes and distributes meeting minutes, and assists with meeting preparations.

  • Assists with quality improvement projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years Administrative, project or research experience, or related college experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Clinical trials experience

  • Experience with EPIC EMR

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint

Job Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven computer/software skills (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat) required.

  • Essential problem solving skills demonstrated by the ability to work through presented problems, issues, etc. in order to come to an effective resolution.

  • Delivers excellent customer service at all times, with all customers, both internal and external.

  • Effective use of communication tools in a business setting.

  • Demonstrated ability to be accurate and detail oriented.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and consistently follow-through on assigned tasks.

  • Ability and willingness to learn new software programs.
