Providence is calling a Registered Vascular Technologist to Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.

(0.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable Shift)

In this position, you will:

  • Utilize knowledge of and expertise in performing non-invasive diagnostic procedures used in evaluating vascular occlusive disease, as well as the ability to objectively identify the presence or absence of disease utilizing a variety of ultrasound and Doppler equipment.

  • Have the ability to modify procedures with the approval of the Supervisor or Medical Director, to meet special circumstances to provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis.

  • Comply with the standards set by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL) and departmental policies and procedures.

  • This position requires shared regional coverage for stand-by and call back on evenings and weekends.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Current Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or obtain certification within 6 months of hire date

  • Complete Continuing Medical Education (CME's) to maintain RVT certification as needed by ARDMS

  • Current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging licensure

  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification

  • Current Driver’s license and dependable transportation

  • Ability to read and speak English

Preferred qualifications for this position include

  • Graduate of a 4 year vascular technology program

  • 2 years of experience working in a Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory setting
