Providence Health & Services Registered Nurse - Diagnostic Imaging (Non-Contract) in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - Diagnostic Imaging (Non-Contract) to Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. This is a full-time (36 hours per week), benefited position. Rotating schedule of four 9-hr shifts Monday through Friday. Call is required.
We are seeking a RN - Diagnostic Imaging, Non-Contract who will be accountable for direct and indirect quality care for patients according to the individualized needs of the patient. RN must be competent to analyze patient data with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial, spiritual, and chronological maturation process. Coordinates patient care activities with other members of the health care team in a collegial relationship.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide for a comprehensive patient assessment.
Develop and implement an individualized plan of care which reflects the standard of care.
Provide and document necessary patient/family education in support of interdisciplinary treatment plan.
Develop the discharge plan of care.
Perform procedures and treatments according to accepted Department/Unit standards.
Monitor patient condition, note changes in status, utilizes judgment and takes appropriate action.
Participate in the Quality Improvement process as defined in the department Q.A. plan.
Accurately and concisely document patient care activities and information.
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Oregon
Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
3 years Acute care nursing experience
Experience with ECG tracings and stress tests
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (required for stress tests) or to be completed within 6 months of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or to be completed within 6 months of hire
ICU, ER, or PACU experience
Moderate sedation experience and pediatric experience
Moderate sedation credentialing or to be completed within 3 months of hire
