Providence Health & Services Regional Director of Respiratory Care in Portland, Oregon


Providence is calling a Regional Director of Respiratory Care (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Develop, implement, direct and coordinate all Respiratory Care across the Oregon Region.

  • Direct the delivery of all educational, clinical and testing services provided in a variety of settings both in acute care facilities, contracted sites and in the community.

  • Be responsible for leading and facilitating the Oregon Region respiratory care team in developing high quality and cost effective services for all 8 Oregon region hospitals and in outpatient settings as appropriate.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor degree in health related field

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)

  • Current professional license to practice in the State of Oregon

  • Current driver's license

  • 10 years of progressively responsible experience which includes at least 7 years of managing respiratory care services in a large acute care facility

  • Advanced education in areas of respiratory care services, human resources, business and quality management

  • Must have exceptional competence in scientific and practical application of pulmonary function testing, exercise and metabolic testing, critical care management and comprehensive respiratory care

  • Must have computer and management knowledge, skills and abilities applicable to diagnostics and therapeutic medical equipment, business and information systems

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Masters of Health Administration or Masters of Business Administration with undergraduate degree in professional practice area
