Providence Health & Services Regional Chief Philanthropy Officer in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Regional Chief Philanthropy Officer for a position with the Foundation in Portland, OR.
In this position, you will:
Provide leadership for all philanthropic programs conducted by Providence Health and Services in Oregon.
Lead the strategic planning efforts of the foundations and philanthropic programs for all Providence Foundations in Oregon and provides oversight while adapting the strategy, personnel, systems and policies necessary for growth.
Develop strategy to raise philanthropic support of $100 million within a 3 year period for PHS while maintaining an environment for philanthropic success across the 10 Oregon foundations, and maintaining focus on other Oregon and system initiatives.
Serve as a member and as an advisor to the Foundation Boards on all organizational matters.
Assure that all related activities achieve the established organization’s performance and outcome goals.
Accountable for the fiscal health of the Foundations. He/she oversees the operating budget and maintains fiscal control over expenditures.
Provide fundraising counsel to all PH&S/Oregon entities.
Work with each of the acute and non-acute administrations to ensure that the adopted fund development plan is in alignment with the strategic and financial plan of each institution.
Bachelor’s degree in related field
8 to 10 years of demonstrated track record of success in major gift solicitation (current and deferred gifts)
Experience with and knowledge of charitable estate planning arrangements
Experience with and knowledge of corporate and foundation relations and the grant research and proposal development process
Experience in senior level management
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Certification by Association of Healthcare Philanthropy and/or Association of Fundraising Philanthropy
8 to 10 years of demonstrated track record of success in major gift solicitation (current and deferred gifts) in a medical or higher education setting
