Providence Health & Services Program Manager - Cancer Research in Portland, Oregon

Providence is calling a Program Manager Cancer Research - Program Development Cancer (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland , OR

We are seeking a Program Manager Cancer Research - Program Development Cancer that will be responsible for the overall coordination of assigned research program(s) within the Providence Cancer Institute. This position will manage a team of research nurses and clinical research associates/assistants who are responsible for the conduct of all clinical trials within their program(s). The Program Manager is responsible for the overall quality of clinical trials conducted within his/her program(s) as well as the ongoing assessment of workloads and resources.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for all Human Resources functions for applicable staff including, but not limited to: hiring, training, performance and development evaluations, and disciplinary actions

  • Be responsible for coordinating clinical performance evaluations with the Nurse Manager--Cancer Research Program for all nursing staff within assigned program(s)

  • Be responsible for the coordination and tracking of all study start-up activities from initial feasibility through activation

  • Be responsible for tracking and reporting applicable metrics (e.g., accrual, quality, timelines) for assigned research programs

  • Develops, regularly reviews, and revises as needed all applicable standard operating procedures

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Drivers license

  • Supervisory experience

  • Five (5) years of Clinical research experience

Preferred qualifications for this position includes:

  • SoCRA -OR- ACRP Certification preferred (or willingness to achieve within first year of hire)

  • Oncology research experience

  • Experience in developing standard operating procedures
