Providence Health & Services Personal Care Lead Aide in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Personal Care Lead Aide (0.8 FTE, Nights) to Elderplace Glendoveer in Portland, OR.
We are seeking a Lead Personal Care Aide that is expected to serve in a leadership role with other Aides to complete all required documentation, assure that all care and medications are administered appropriately, to solve problems, and to communicate with the staff of the next shift. Performs basic and routine quality care to the ElderPlace residents including assisting them in the activities of daily living and other personal care tasks.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Assists as needed in providing or assisting geriatric participants / residents with personal care including but not limited to: bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming with minimal support and supervision.
Schedules and coordinates tasks to be performed by other Patient Care Assistant (PCA), in cooperation with other housing and clinic staff.
Participates in participant /resident orientation to the ElderPlace facility.
Provides input and information for service/care plans.
Represents PCA staff at planning and program development meetings, Patient Care Technician (PCT) meetings and other site specific meetings.
Required qualification in this position include:
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and standard first aide
2 years experience as a caregiver with frail elderly
6 months of Medication Administration experience
Preferred qualification in this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Completion of approved medication administration training -or- equivalent education/experience
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Oregon
1 year of Medication Administration experience
