Providence Health & Services Patient Relations Representative in Portland, Oregon
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Patient Relations Representative to our location in Portland, OR.
We are seeking a Patient Relations Representative to be the first point of contact to patients. This position plays a key role in maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service over the phone and the virtual visit platform.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service and serve as first point of contact to patients.
Facilitate communication between patients, providers, clinic staff, internal and external customers to support patient care.
Navigate multiple and complex data systems to research and/or record pertinent information in compliance with policies.
Operate multi-line telephone system; route calls and respond to general inquiries
Register patients; update demographic and insurance information
Make patient appointments and monitor appointment schedules daily.
Identify medically urgent or emergent situations and respond appropriately.
Perform clerical and other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma or GED.
Strong verbal communication and listening skills
Demonstrated customer service skills
Effective interpersonal skills
Quickly troubleshoots and resolves problems
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Some college coursework completed.
Basic experience with electronic medical records and/or computerized billing systems.
