Providence is calling a PACE Payee Specialist - Elderplace Finance and Business Services (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to Prov Office Park Portland in Portland, OR
We are seeking a PACE Payee Specialist - Elderplace Finance and Business Services that will be responsible for processing, monitoring and oversight of ElderPlace Representative Payee accounts. Using knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations, adjudicates housing and other claims, ensuring their appropriateness and accuracy.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Process Housing and miscellaneous other payments through Accounts Payable
Revies nursing facility claims and housing payments to contracted providers for appropriateness and accuracy. Calculate payment amounts. Trains peer(s) as necessary to support this function
Maintain and provides system admin functions for separate accounts payable databases, processing over $1.7M per month
Support social workers and nurses on the use of the contracted housing provider database and works with IS representative to improve the functionality of the software.
Respond to questions regarding billing and reimbursement from contracted providers. Notifies providers in writing of denied payment. Works with AP staff to resolve questions and disputes. Notifies Operations Managers of any unusual payment activity.
Receive, document and monitor all receivable accounts, including Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, and room and board payments. Maintains QuickBooks databases for this purpose.
Notify participants of changes in service payment and room and board payments.
Perform the collections function for both government and private revenue. Monitors past due accounts and initiates corrective measures to ensure payments are collected and participants stay enrolled with EP. Works with government agencies to resolve revenue discrepancies.
Act as Representative Payee for EP participants. Post monthly SSI checks and other income sources. Distributes PIF money to participants, pays their bills and process check requests on their behalf.
Responsible for depositing Rep Payee checks to banking account that are sent directly to admin site as well as verifying deposits for rental payments and private payments.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Three (3) years experience in cash posting, accounts payable, accounts receivable or other equivalent accounting experience.
Five (5) years experience with computerized spreadsheet application, -OR- A combination of college/business school level training and experience
Advanced level of experience with managed care payment systems.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Advanced level of experience with QuickBooks Pro software or other business accounting software.
Experience with MS Office products.
