Providence Health & Services Office Staff Supervisor - Heart Clinic in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling an Office Staff Supervisor - Heart Clinic Gateway (1.0 FTE, Days) to Oregon Clinic Bldg in Portland , OR.
We are seeking a Office Supervisor - Heart Clinic Gateway that will develop and mentor non-clinical staff. Ensures that all non-clinical services are provided in a timely and accurate manner which is sensitive to the patient's physical, psychological, and spiritual needs. Removes barriers and promotes excellent patient care.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Supervise all aspects of daily non-clinical operations (i.e., appointments, patient flow, medical records, and registration/reception) within the clinic, which may include appointments, patient flow, patient scheduling, registration/reception, medical records, and/or billing operations
Assign non-clinical duties to staff
Develop and implements the daily work schedule. Provides back-up staffing, as needed
Participate in all components of staff hiring (interview, selection, hiring, on-boarding, orientation, training) and supervises non-clinical staff
Provide performance evaluations, staff development, and motivation for non-clinical staff
Counsel non-clinical employees on performance. As needed by policy, documents, delivers and implements corrective action
Occupational Medicine Only: Train new employees on Systoc EMR. Acts as the primary contract for Systoc EMR system
Occupational Medicine Only: Support Patient Centered Medical Home teams, removing barriers and promoting excellent patient care
Required qualifications for this position includes:
High School -OR- GED
Two (2) years experience in a progressive leadership role in a clinic setting
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
College level healthcare management course work
Experience with Windows and Excel-based software
