Providence Health & Services Medical Appointments Scheduling Supervisor in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Medical Appointments Scheduling Supervisor (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Office Park in Portland, OR.
In this position, you will:
Be responsible for scheduling all types of participant’s outside medical appointments for the assigned areas.
Be responsible for arranging for and scheduling interpreters and attendants as necessary; accurately creating trips in the transportation software program, entering appointments in HER; and entering appointments requiring attendants in the calendar program.
Actively notify stakeholders about appointment date/time, etc.
Act as feedback loop to the contract manager about restrictions with external providers, such as restricted days, times, excessive delays to timely appointments.
Provide supervision for assigned staff.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 year experience with frail or elderly population
1 year transportation scheduling experience using transportation routing/scheduling software
2 years of experience supervising staff
2 years of experience working in an office setting that includes utilizing a computer for data and word processing
Working knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) coding
In compliance with company policy and state regulations, a Department of Human Services (DHS) criminal background check may be required for this position based upon the location of the position. Fingerprinting may be required also
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience using an electronic medical health record system
Experience working with multiple medical offices coordinating and safeguarding protected health information
