Providence is calling a Lead Pharmacy Technician - Outpatient Operations (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Professional Plaza Portland in Portland , OR. This position will have 5 8-hour shifts starting as early as 8am and ending as late as 7pm. This position will also have a rotating weekend (frequency varies on need).

We are seeking a Lead Pharmacy Technician - Outpatient Operations that will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to required areas of focus, and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Exercises judgment to determine best method for achieving objectives. Leads and/or provides expertise to team. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower level employees. Guides process improvement and development of procedures and processes. Frequently represents the organization to partners in other areas. Responsible for the day-to-day performance of the Retail Pharmacy at their respective location.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the day to day performance of the store operations

  • Work with Lead Pharmacist and Operations Manager to define key performance indicators for the service and tracks daily performance on the KPIs

  • Ensure consistent standardized performance across all team members

  • Troubleshoot issues on specific orders and ensures appropriate resolution

  • Deliver high level of service to patients and maximize level of service

  • Help develop the pharmacy process, procedures and training documents

  • Ensure that the documents reflect current operating practices

  • Ensure process and procedures are aligned with the Retail pharmacy objectives

  • Train new and current pharmacy staff on process and procedures

  • Maintain training checklist and updates as needed

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Oregon

  • Five (5) years of experience as a pharmacy technician

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly with a high level of accuracy under pressure

  • Able to use computers and computer software

  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills

  • Able to project short-term and long-term changes in workflow

  • Able to problem solve highly complex processes and technology issues

  • Strong documentation skills

  • Able to work well with the public

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience in a leadership role
