Providence Health & Services Grants Officer in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Grants Officer to the Foundation Portland Services Area in Oregon . This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), day shift position. This position has the option to either work exclusively from home or have the option for a hybrid schedule if residing in the Providence Oregon Service Area. Providence will provide all equipment (computer, monitor, docking station, keyboard, etc.).

We are seeking a Grants Officer that will work closely with the Grants Director in developing and writing grant proposals to government, private foundations, and corporate entities with a team annual goal of $2-3 million. Additionally, the Grants Officer will focus on tracking deliverables, coordinating reports to funders, managing a team calendar of projects and deadlines, and prospecting for new grant funding opportunities.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Compose, edit, compile, and submit written materials, including letters of inquiry, grant proposals and supporting documents, budgets, and interim and final reports; Coordinate grant approval process and post-award compliance
Collaborate with internal teams and departments to manage narratives and award reporting; coordinate completion of reporting; maintain necessary records, files, reports, databases, and pertinent resource materials
Create structure and manage 60 grants calendar of grant and reporting requirements / deadlines and coordinate data input
Identify, qualify and systematize new grant opportunities via rigorous prospect research
Demonstrate positive interactions with the public, and positive interpersonal relations in dealing with fellow employees, supervisors, and other department employees, so that productivity and positive employee relations are maximized
Report to work as scheduled and on time per department policy
Maintain confidentiality of all information related to patients, medical staff, and as appropriate, other information
Support and contributes to effective safety and risk management efforts by adhering to established policies and procedures, maintaining a safe environment, promoting accident prevention, and identifying and reporting potential liabilities

Required qualifications for this position includes:
Demonstrated experience and success in program development and grant writing for health care applications
Formal skills in use of word processing and spreadsheet software
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
Experience in communicating with diverse health care constituencies, including physicians, administrators, other health care professionals
Experience in health care organizations
