We are seeking a Assistant Food Service B - Dietary that will provide attractive, nutritious meals to the children, staff, and guests of Providence Child Center through the performance of food preparation, service and clean-up activities. Performs Daily Charge Job Routine in addition to Dishes and Formula Job Routines. This includes answering department telephones, delivering messages, and generally acting as team public relations person for the day.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Adhere to Child Center and Food and Nutrition Services department policies and procedures and supports adherence among staff at all times
Comprehend and carry out written and oral instructions
Utilize good communication skills at all times
Attend inservices and department meetings as directed by Child Center policies and/or supervisor
Able to work varied schedules and shifts
Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize dishes, service carts, and surfaces in Day Care, Nursing Center, Cafeteria, and Kitchen areas, does so according to all federal, state, and local regulations
Perform and participate in other related duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, catering and room set-ups
Stock supplies inside and outside of department as required
Provide accurate and timely meal service to Nursing Center children following individual Nutrition Care Plans
Document operations, events, and quality indicators as required
Perform rotating Daily Charge duties consisting of answering Team telephones and taking messages both 'live' and from voice mail
Deliver messages to appropriate Team member
Answer visitor questions or directs them to the appropriate resource person
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
Food Handler's Card
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
- Food service experience in health care and/or school
