In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

We are seeking a CVL Material Management Coordinator - Cardiovascular Laboratory

The Coord-Cardio Vascular Lab Materials is responsible for the oversight of all functions related to Cardio Vascular Lab materials acquisition, certain capital equipment, new product introduction, inventory control, item file maintenance and is the primary interface with healthcare representatives. This position is responsible for the coordination of Cardio Vascular Lab materials for the Portland Service Area with work in the Oregon region as necessary.

Caregivers are

In this position you will:


• Responsible for coordinating requests for special one-time, and recurring non-inventory surgery products.

• Recommends purchase vs. consignment and monitors inventory levels.

• Coordinates loaning and borrowing of surgical products and equipment from other facilities.

• Coordinates manufacturer surgical product recalls.


• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of new product introduction including support to clinical leadership, product research, documentation and communication.

• Works collaboratively with clinical staff, Cardiovascular lab buyer and Cardiovascular manager to ensure documentation is complete and prepared for review.

• Ensures all aspects of new product/equipment process are completed prior to introduction.


• Researches capital equipment and assists surgery leadership in identifying cost effective alternatives.

• Works with leadership team to prioritize capital equipment needs.

• Orders, tracks, receives and coordinates implementation of all capital equipment.


• Primary point of contact for healthcare representatives.

• Responsible for maintaining Cardiovascular vendor database for Portland Service area.

• Ensures new representatives complete requirements prior to access to the patient care areas.


• Analyzes supply costs and provides monthly variance reports.

• Maintains item file in GE Centricity and Wavemark. Assigns numbers for all new items.

• Creates reports to track special procedures (e.g., robotics), and purchased outside services (e.g., Wave Form).

• Provides analysis of contract vendor utilization.


Required qualifications this position include:



• None required.


Experience in hospital and/or surgical materials management.

Experience working with databases and spreadsheets (Access /Excel).

Experience with budgets and inventory control systems.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:


Associate's Degree Related field. Or

Bachelor's Degree Related field.

Business education.

Experience with Lawson Procurement.
