Disease Indication: Melanoma

We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator 1 - Program Development Cancer that will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining diverse activities related to clinical cancer research. This includes, but is not limited to: patient eligibility; registration/enrollment; data compilation, abstraction, and submission; study evaluation; quality control; and patient follow-up. The CRC1 interacts closely with institutional investigators, industry sponsors, contract research organizations, NCTN research bases, clinic staff, laboratory staff, and pathology staff. The CRC1 collaborates with fellow clinical research staff throughout the duration of the study to ensure high quality and efficient study conduct.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for research data management, including collection of source documents, review and abstraction of data for the completion of case reports forms and query resolution, and tracking/reporting of adverse events, serious adverse events, and protocol deviations

  • Coordinate the collection of biospecimens for stand-alone research projects and within clinical trials. (This may include obtaining informed consent from patients.)

  • Attend Investigator meetings, conferences, and other meetings/training events as needed (travel may be involved)

  • Serve as a liaison for physician investigators, scientists, monitors, clinic staff, and other research staff for the day-to-day management of patients on clinical trials

  • Implement quality assurance processes for accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of research data

  • Coordinate follow-up of off-treatment patients, ensuring compliance with protocol requirements

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate study/patient data in the Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS)


Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Bachelor's Degree -OR- equivalent education/experience

  • Valid driver's license at time of hire

  • Two (2) years of Research or data entry/registry experience

Preferred qualifications for this position includes:

  • Certification in clinical research coordination (SoCRA, ACRP)

  • Clinical research experience, oncology clinical research experience

  • Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs)

  • Epic experience
