Providence Health & Services Clinical Auditor-Surgical Services in Portland, Oregon


Providence is calling a Clinical Auditor-Surgical Services (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Be responsible for reviewing peri-operative and anesthesia documentation, as well as patient charging records for Surgery, Endoscopy, SSU and PACU.

  • Perform duties that include, auditing and reviewing nursing documentation for completeness and accuracy; auditing and verifying patient charges.

  • Be expected to identify charting discrepancies and provide feedback to the responsible nurse in order to correct the discrepancies by addendum to the official document in a timely manner.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Surgical Technologist certification

  • 2 or more years of surgical tech experience in an operating room environment

  • Work experience that includes general knowledge of patient care processes and understanding of a variety of surgical procedures and surgical supplies

  • Demonstrate experience and knowledge of computer systems

  • Strong medical terminology knowledge

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience in a hospital setting
