Providence Health & Services Certified Medication Aide - Medically Fragile Children in Portland, Oregon


Providence is calling a Certified Medication Aide (0.6 FTE, evenings) to Center for Medically Fragile Children in Portland, OR.

*The ideal candidate for this role will need to have a CNA2 Certification and must be a Certified Medication Aide (CMA).*

In this position, you will:

  • Perform basic nursing tasks and provide accurate medication administration and quality care to the child.

  • Maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse (RN or LPN).

  • Model expert practice and facilitate orientation to basic resident care for new nursing staff.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Registered as a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA2) and Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in good standing with the Oregon State Board of Nursing -or- CNA1/CMA with CNA2 within 3 months of hire

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) for Healthcare Provider

  • In compliance with the Oregon Child Care Division, criminal history registration is required for this position, based on assigned duties

  • In Compliance with the Department of Human Services (DHS), a criminal background check is required for this position

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 1 year experience as a CMA in a health care setting
