Providence Health & Services Associate Nurse Manager - Surgical Services in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling an Associate Nurse Manager (ANM) for Surgical Services Department (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.
The ANM is a salaried position working approximately 40 hours per week. Our department has 21 main operating rooms and 2 smaller operating rooms that are primarily used as procedural suites.
The ANM will help to oversee a dynamic team. This role will have significant interaction with facilitating in the room patient care as well as working with surgeons and other departments as well as other leaders in the hospital. We're looking for someone with strong communication skills, strong leadership skills and someone who has great critical thinking as well as the ability to quickly prioritize patient needs and the department's needs. Being able to multi-task at a high level is strongly desired.
The ANM will be accountable for the provision and quality of nursing services at the facility - department level for Surgical Services, in support of Providence Health & Services System and Regional goals. This includes strategically ensuring a balance of optimal and efficient patient care; staff, patient, and physician satisfaction; and cooperative partnerships with other organizational departments and professional groups. With a constant focus on patient-centeredness and staff and patient safety, the ANM creates and maintains standards and systems for care delivery for their department.

Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor 's Degree in Nursing
Current Oregon RN License.
BLS Healthcare Provider.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Nursing or in related field
6 years In nursing with experience in progressive leadership roles.
National Certification from ANA or Professional Organization in relevant field of clinical expertise strongly recommended.
Significant ortho surgery experience strongly preferred.
