Providence Health & Services Anesthesia Technician in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling an Anesthesia Technician to its Main Operating Room team at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. This is a full-time evening shift position offering hours from 2:30pm-11pm, Monday-Friday. You will also participate in the team's standby/call rotation.
In this position, you will:
Function as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of a registered perioperative nurse.
Support the anesthesia providers by the preparation and set up of appropriate equipment and supplies for each surgical case. This includes connecting monitoring lines, preparing infusion sets, and operating all common physiological monitors
Be able to apply several specialized tests.
Provide limited patient care as needed by assisting with prepping and opening supplies before surgery.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the orientation period
2 years of employment as a non-certified Anesthesia Technician -or-
2 years of clinical experience in an accredited hospital within an operating room
Basic computer skills
