Providence Health & Services Administrative Assistant 3 - Providence Children's Health Foundation in Portland, Oregon


Providence is calling an AdministrativeAssistant III to the Providence Children’s Health Foundation, Oregon.

This position will primarily be located at ProvidenceChild Center, with some meetings at other Providence facilities in thePortland Service Area.


Health & Services is a leader in children’s health care, taking care of the

health and wellness of children in Oregon.

We are seeking an experienced, organized and motivated Administrative

Assistant who will support the Regional Executive Director of the Children’s

Health Foundation and facilitate best practices in fund development.

In this position, you will:

  • Provide administrative and general office support functionsfor the Foundation. The Foundation is organized with the purpose of raisingphilanthropic support for programs and services offered by Providence Healthand Services.

  • Useconsiderable judgment and initiative to determine the approach or action totake in non-routine situations.

  • Use expertcomputer skills utilizing Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook,Excel, and Power Point, web based management programs and multi-facility donorrelations databases.

  • In a highly organized manner,anticipate and meet needs of team members and effectively manage time, multiple prioritiesand projects simultaneously.

  • Have abilityto efficiently plan, organize, prioritize, problem solve, and make sounddecisions.

  • Communicateeffectively both verbally and in writing with staff, management, physicians, andthe public.

  • Manage confidential information,work collaboratively with team members, and develop strategies that facilitate fundraisingsuccess.

  • Manage some stewardship activitiesand provide support to fundraising events.

  • Develop a broad level of knowledge aboutProvidence Children’s Health and related programs and services, team membersand clinical staff for which the Children’s Health Foundation seeksfunding .


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 2 years of college or Business School training - or - equivalent work experience.

  • 5 years administrative support work experience including data entry, preparing bank deposits, and data processing

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 5 years administrative support work experience in the health care industry

  • 2 years of experience in public relations or customer service related business
