Providence Health & Services Administrative Assistant 2 - Center for Medically Fragile Children in Portland, Oregon


Providence is calling an Administrative Assistant 2 to Providence Center for Medically Fragile Children located at The Child's Center in Portland, OR.

We are seeking a Administrative Assistant 2 who will provide administrative support for the programs of the Center for Medically Fragile Children. Emphasis is placed on strong computer, written and verbal communication skills, organization and the ability to balance and coordinate multiple projects and deadlines

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support for the Center for Medically Fragile Children

  • Provides back up support to the Staffing Coordinator

  • Assists in the scheduling of meetings, preparation of agendas and other meeting materials, and recording of minutes. Tasks may also include reserving conference rooms, coordinating schedules, and setting up equipment

  • Understands department functions sufficiently to research and recommend solutions

  • Document, spreadsheet, and presentation preparation and editing

  • Provide miscellaneous project support which would include policy and procedure updates, training tool updates, maintaining orientation materials, preparing orientation schedules, and processing of new hire information

  • Assumes responsibility for evaluating and recommending improvements within area of responsibility

  • Demonstrates ability to handle multiple responsibilities and to shift priorities quickly in an accurate manner

  • Identifies own learning needs. Attends in-services as required and as needed for professional growth.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED

  • 2 years Administrative support work experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • College level courses in business

  • Kronos experience
