Providence Accountant in Portland, Oregon
Providence Health Plan is calling an Accountant to our location in Portland, OR.
We are seeking an Accountant to be responsible for preparing journal entries, preparing general account reconciliations and account analysis. This position will support daily operational functions as well as those necessary to complete the monthly financial reporting required for all entities within Providence Health Plan.
In this position, you will have the following responsibilities:
Participates in the implementation of Accounts Receivable system.
Prepares Accounts Receivable billing, cash posting and related reconciliations.
Responsible for Accounts Receivable aging and follow up with clients on outstanding balances.
Performs daily bank transfers for multiple entities.
Prepares journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
Analyzes and reconciles assigned General Ledger accounts.
Ad-hoc requests and special projects.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
1-year experience in accounting or finance.
Experience in Accounts Receivable.
Experience in initiating electronic payments.
Experience in preparing journal entries and reconciling account balances.
Experience with computerized financial applications and Microsoft office applications.
Intermediate Excel skills.
