Providence DSNP: Medicare / Medicaid Community Enrollment Specialist in Oregon


Providence is calling a DSNP: Medicare / Medicaid Community Enrollment Specialist who will:

  • Be responsible for interacting with Medicare/Medicaid Dual-Eligible population.

  • Meet and partner with Aging and Disability Services, Medicaid Case Managers, Low Income Housing services, Shelters, Food Banks and other community-based programs and organizations that specialize in the Medicare/Medicaid population

  • Conduct presentations at group/centers, churches, homes, etc. to sell and promote the Providence Medicare Advantage Dual Special Needs Plan (DSNP)

  • Travel throughout an assigned territory and work directly with community-based organizations, providers, and other sources to obtain referrals. This includes travel throughout Portland Metro and Yamhill County on a frequent basis.

  • Manage their travel and territory efficiently to produce maximum results while generating their own leads

  • Be responsible for multi-territory member retention strategies, including new and existing DSNP member webinars and seminars throughout the year and during the Annual Election Period

  • Be responsible to plan, execute and attend in person events

  • Be responsible for collaborating with Producers that specialize in the DSNP market working with the Medicare Producer Managers in partnership to grow DSNP via the Producer channel as well

This position is considered to be a Hybrid role working a combination of in office / work from home week over week. Providence welcomes residents to apply that live within a commutable distance of our office locations listed below:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in meeting monthly sales & retention goals

  • Prospect, initiate and build network/lead base & referrals to grow revenue

  • Deliver persuasive sales presentations to consumer groups & individuals in virtual and in-person environments

  • Deliver persuasive new and existing member retention presentations in virtual and in-person environments

  • Become known as a visible and recognized Medicare resource in assigned territory

  • Adhere to all compliance and company rules and mandates set forth in the CMS marketing and compliance guidelines as well as in the company policies and procedures

  • Promote retention and minimize rapid dis enrollment by providing accurate, consistent and timely service and follow up

  • Manage all leads within the designated timeframe on the company contact database in order to exceed company standards for quality, accuracy and timeliness

  • Become a trusted advisor in the community via cultivation of grassroots and other local events

  • Plan, execute and lead member retention events throughout the Portland Metro region

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Proof of a valid driver's license

  • Proof of auto insurance

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree - OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience

  • 2 years direct sales or marketing experience, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

  • 2 years experience working directly with community-based programs specializing in the Medicare/Medicaid market

  • 5 years experience with the ability to speak, read and write other languages such as Spanish, Russian Chinese and Vietnamese

  • Current Valid State Health Insurance Licensure with a focus on Health and Disability -OR- the ability to obtain licensure within sixty (60) days of a hire date

Salary Range by location:

Washington (Puget Sound) / Oregon (Portland):

  • Minimum: $24.98

  • Maximum: $39.75

Oregon (Hood River, Medford, Seaside):

  • Minimum: $23.29

  • Maximum: $37.06
