Providence is calling a Cash Posting Specialist: Hospital Cash Applications to work remotely from any of our footprint states which are inclusive of AK, WA, OR, MT, CA and or TX.

We are seeking a Cash Posting Specialist: Hospital Cash Applications who will be responsible for:

  • Accurately and timely posting all third-party and patient payments

  • Timely resolution of WQ transactions

  • Consistent productivity and quality of work in a challenging, fast paced and rapidly changing environment

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Accurately post third-party payments, adjustments, and denials within department mandated time frames

  • Accurately post patient payments within department mandated time frames

  • Validate patient payments collected by clinics for prompt posting

  • Analyze third-party payments, adjustments, and denials for appropriateness raising concerns and/or questions in a timely manner so that further reimbursement analysis may be initiated

  • Accurately post corrective entries within department mandated time frames

  • Ensure all computer system entries are completed accurately and timely

  • Maintain accurate, clear, concise, and complete account notes and other relevant information

  • Closely adhere to set schedules and handle time standards

  • Promote PSJH as a premier service organization by treating customers with compassion and respect

  • Identify, resolve and escalate major issues and service failures that impede success

  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient demographic, medical, and financial information, ensuring proper handling and disposal of confidential documents and adherence to HIPAA

  • Comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and requirements as well as PSJH policies and procedures in all aspects of job performance

  • Proven PC Proficiency in MS Windows and Office applications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED; High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1 year in healthcare, revenue cycle, banking or finance

  • Track record in organizing and planning with demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and achieve results in a fast paced environment
