Providence Health & Services Licensed Mental Health Therapist in Oregon City, Oregon
Providence is calling a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (0.6 FTE, Days) to Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center in Oregon City, OR.
In this position, you will:
Be responsible for providing clinically therapeutic programs and treatment in the inpatient mental health units.
Be responsible for providing various modalities of care, individual therapy, and treatment intervention with patients as agreed upon by the treatment team while under the supervision of the clinical supervisor and in collaboration with the patients Registered Nurse.
Use education and training to assist in stabilizing and treating patients during their stay on the unit.
Provide feedback and input to the team regarding assessment of the patients strengths, capacities, and responsiveness to the treatment.
Assist in discharge planning and interventions to support rapid stabilization and movement of the patient back into the community while working in conjunction with the team.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Masters degree in psychology, social work, or other mental health related field from an accredited school, or from a school in candidacy status by the appropriate higher education council
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with the state of Oregon required. Licensure as an LICSW in the state of Washington required as needed based on work location(s)
Masters degree in recreational therapy from an accredited school, or from a school in candidacy status by the appropriate higher education council
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) national credential is required. Licensure in accordance with the appropriate Oregon state board
Masters degree in Creative/Expressive Arts from an accredited school, or from a school in candidacy status by the appropriate higher education council, required. It is also required that this Masters degree be eligible for licensure as LPC or LMFT in accordance with the appropriate Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) licensure with the appropriate Oregon state board
2 years relevant experience in an inpatient mental health
2 years experience with child/adolescent population preferably in the inpatient setting
