We are seeking a Floor Care Specialist - Environmental Services that will perform cleaning and maintenance of all carpeted, hard floor surfaces and upholstery. Perform preventative maintenance on all floor equipment. Cover for Cleaning Attendant as needed. Perform tasks in any assigned areas at Benedictine Nursing Center campus to provide a lasting favorable first impression for our staff, physicians, patients and visitors. Participates in the departments continuous quality improvement activities.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors; carpets, tile, concrete flooring and upholstery
Follow manufacturer's recommended guidelines, techniques and procedure when utilizing chemicals and cleaning supplies
Perform restoration functions on highly soiled or worn areas
Follow all infection control practices including hand washing techniques, standard precautions and isolation precautions required for the assigned area of work
Replenish supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be ordered
Maintain cleanliness of all equipment utilized
Operate and maintain all equipment according the manufacturers guidelines
Refer equipment repair needs or safety hazards to Environmental Services Supervisor or appropriate department
Utilities safety signs (Wet Floor) and ropes off sections of floor for cleaning where appropriate
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- One (1) year of floor care experience
