Providence Health & Services Cook - Benedictine in Mount Angel, Oregon
Providence is calling a Cook (0.75 FTE, Evenings) to Benedictine Nursing Center in Mount Angel, OR.
We are seeking a Cook that will oversee the delivery of meal service to patients. Supervise dietary staff in absence of Dietary Supervisor and Dietician.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Accurate in serving all regular and therapeutic meals
Honor patient likes and dislikes
Accurate recording of meals served and food temperature
Assure meals are prepared and ready for service on time
Check that all food items are properly stored
Supervise Dietary Department when Supervisor is off duty
Help with catering
Able to do weekly food ordering with suppliers
Cover shifts when staff calls in
Complete assigned cleaning duties
Follow recipes and portion control guidelines
Leave work area neat and orderly for next shift
Maintain freezer organization
Ability to multi-task
Ability to communicate with co-workers and customers
Required qualifications for this position includes:
High School Diploma -OR- GED
Current Food Handlers card within 30 days of hire.
In Compliance with the Department of Human Services (DHS), a criminal background check is required for this position.

- Food service experience
