Providence is calling a RN - Clinical Education Coordinator - Maternity Services (0.9 FTE, Days) to Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR.
We have a new and amazing opportunity for an Maternity Educator in our Birth Place. You will be guided by our local education department, and closely partnered with our Birth Place RN Manager, to ensure evidenced based learning for continued great patient outcomes.

In this position, you will:
Assess, plan, present/facilitate and evaluate orientation and education activities for clinical employees to assure competence in job performance and promote professional development.
Support standards and systems for care delivery for the Maternity department in a manner that promotes evidence-based practice, while supporting the management of productivity targets within a context of constant change in patient volumes, patient acuity, and available resources.
Coordinate and facilitate quality and continuing quality improvement activities to promote quality patient outcomes and effective/efficient use of resources.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current licensure by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Provider (AHA-BLS)
Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum (LDRP) and special care nursery experience with an in-depth knowledge of advanced fetal monitoring, American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG) and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP Standards of Care)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Masters degree in nursing with a focus on leadership or education
ACLS, PALS, and National Obstetric certifications
AWHONN Membership or membership in related
Five (5) years of experience in L&D, and Special Nursery Care with progressive leadership roles
