Providence Respiratory Therapist, Neonatal - Eves/Nights in Medford, Oregon
Description:
Providence is calling a Respiratory Therapist, Neonatal to Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR. This is a full-time position. Scheduling availability will be visible to our staff 6 weeks in advance. Shifts offered are 1445-0315, 1445-2315, or 1845-0715.
We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist that will provide total respiratory care to patients in the NICU setting and other areas. These duties are in addition to all areas covered in the Registered Respiratory Therapist job description.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Complete patient need and outcome and assessment procedures in support of clinical practice standards, provides appropriate, relevant report to the next shift and counseling with physicians and nursing staff including all age related issues
Draw, mix, and administer pharmaceutical agents or medications, to all respiratory age populations of patients
Initiate and maintain oxygen therapy when appropriate
Obtain and analyze blood samples, and performs oxygen saturation testing. Pre-analytical and post-analytical assessments required for all patient age groups
Complete various mechanical life support, including Pressure Ventilation, Manual ventilation, CPR oxygen administration, and pulmonary bronchial hygiene techniques for all age groups
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Associate's Degree: Graduate of AMA approved school for Respiratory Care
Coursework/Training: Continued training in specific procedures and equipment
Two (2) years of Level II/III experience -OR- NBRC Perinatal/Pediatric certification
Licensed in Oregon as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
National Registry by NBRC
Current Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification desirable
Current Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Experience in specific procedures and equipment
