Providence Patient Relations Representative - Medford Staffing Resources *$1,500 Sign-On Bonus* in Medford, Oregon


Providence is calling a Patient Relations Representative to join our Staffing Resource Department in Medford OR. This role will support Providence Medical Group Clinics throughout the Rogue Valley. This is an exciting opportunity to gain knowledge and experience while supporting both primary care and specialty clinics between Eagle Point and Ashland Oregon. We are seeking a Patient Relations Representative (PRR) - Medford Staffing Resources to be the first point of contact to patients or visitors in person or by phone. This position plays a key role in maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and serve as first point of contact to patients or visitors in person or by phone

  • Navigate multiple and complex data systems to research and/or record pertinent information in compliance with policies

  • Operate multi-line telephone system; route calls and respond to general inquiries

  • Register patients; update demographic and insurance information

  • Make patient appointments and monitor appointment schedules daily

  • Review charts and adjusts daily provider schedules to ensure accuracy in scheduling and visit preparedness

  • With additional training:

  • Greet incoming patients, obtain initial vital signs (Height, Weight, BP, Pulse, Respirations) and in accordance with predefined metrics

  • Document pertinent patient care information

  • Prepare rooms for new patients

  • Stock room supplies and carts

  • Utilize and maintain supplies to minimize waste


Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • One (1) year of customer service experience -OR- successful completion of a Providence internship

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows and Office Applications

Preferred qualifications for this position includes:

  • One (1) year of medical office -OR- healthcare experience

  • Basic experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and/or computerized billing systems

  • Medical terminology experience

  • Rooming position: CNA, non-credentialed MA, EMT experience, or similar experience
