Providence Health & Services Clinical Operations Specialist, Anticoagulation Clinic (Medical Office Clerk) in Medford, Oregon
Providence is looking a Clinical Operations Specialist (Medical Front Office Clerk) to its Anticoagulation Clinic at Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR. This is a full-time position with hours from 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday.
You will be the point of contact for patients in the Anticoagulation Clinic, Pharmacotherapy Clinic, or other Pharmacy setting. This position provides operational support to maintain patient flow, coordinate care, and triage, gather and manage patient clinical information.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Route clinic calls and takes messages using appropriate smartphrases.
Manage ACC In Baskets on EMR daily, assuring tasks and communications are followed through.
Prepare new patient data in EMR. Assure referrals and pre-visits are completed and checked before patients first visit. Schedule new patients, explaining the ACC/Pharmacotherapy program and the importance of compliance. Communicate to referring care providers the referral acceptance and first visit date of new patients.
Required qualification in this position include:
High school diploma or GED
Advanced level of skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and office equipment
Knowledge of medical terminology
Excellent grammar, composition, and office management principles
Ability to communicate effectively and politely with doctors, nurses, patients, and staff members
Ability to multi-task and be detailed oriented
Ability to accurately and efficiently manage and organize patient data for up to 1500 patient files
Preferred qualification in this position include:
College-level health care management course work
