Providence Health & Services Clinical Care Coordinator, Certified (Medical Assistant) - OB/GYN Health Center in Medford, Oregon


Providence is calling a Certified Clinical Care Coordinator to Providence Pavillion Medford in Medford, OR. This is a full-time, hourly, day shift position. You will have the ability to work 4, 10 hour shifts with a start time as early as 7am and an end time as late as 6pm. Length of shift, and number of days are negotiable (4-5 day work days from Monday-Friday). In this role you will serve as a Team Lead for our MA staff - navigating scheduling and operational challenges through out the day.

We are seeking a Certified Clinical Care Coordinator which is the key liaison between the patient and their Patient-Centered Medical Home team. Team includes providers, clinic staff, and other health care professionals. Clinical Care Coordinator works to ensure safety, best practices, and high quality standards are maintained for the patient across the health care continuum.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate care and excellent customer service while managing the workflow between patients and providers.

  • Manage clinical communications between patients, clinic staff, providers, and internal/external customers to optimize flow and coordination of patient care.

  • Facilitate getting immediate resolution for urgent or emergent patient issues; delegates tasks among team members to ensure the best patient outcomes.

  • Collaborate with Providers to manage, process, and resolve complex or sensitive patient issues.

  • Navigate data systems to research and/or record pertinent information.


Required qualifications in this position include:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program

  • Certified through a nationally recognized Medical Assistant program such as American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) -OR-

  • The National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) -OR-

  • Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) -OR-

  • American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)

  • Must have current American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for the Healthcare Provider

  • 3 years of health care experience working as a Medical Assistant -or- Cardiac Clinic Tech
