Providence Health & Services Medical Staff Coordinator in Hood River, Oregon
Providence is calling a Medical Staff Coordinator (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, Oregon AND Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital in Hood River,Oregon.
The full-time Medical Staff Coordinator role working Monday - Friday from approximately 8am to 5pm. This position will be expected to work 1 day/wk (Tuesdays) in Hood River otherwise the role will office from Providence Portland Medical Center .
This role will provide regional credentialing support and support for meetings. Some of the meetings in Hood River will start as early as 7:30am and the Medical Staff Coordinator will be expected to arrive by 7:00am on those mornings. .Mileage reimbursement will apply for the travel from Providence Portland Medical Center to Hood River.

In this position, you will:
Coordinate all professional staff activities related to credentialing, initial appointments and reappointments, and privileging under the direction of the Director, Quality Management and Medical Staff, or the Program Manager for Medical Staff Services,
Act as a liaison to Professional Staff, Nursing, Quality Management, and Administration with the parameters established by the ministry Quality Directors and Program Managers for Medical Staff Services throughout Oregon Region Quality & Medical Staff Services division.
Perform all duties in a manner which promotes team concept, caring and respect, and which reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.

Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of college or business school coursework
Proficiency in use of medical terminology
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
3 years of experience as medical staff credentialing specialist or coordinator
Certified Medical Staff Coordinator (CMSC) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)
