Providence Health & Services Test Engineer 2 in Beaverton, Oregon
Providence is calling a Test Engineer 2 to Providence Health Plan in Beaverton, OR.
In this position, you will:
Be responsible for coordinating with vendors, partners, architects, project management and Providence leadership to facilitate complex cross departmental and companywide requirement gathering activities and consulting on complicated system implementations, integrations and upgrades supporting various types for initiatives for all departments within Providence Health Plans, with little or no oversight.
Continuously provide active mentorship to other caregivers.
Analyze current and proposed processes, validate against organizational goals and roadmaps.
Provide project management services, troubleshoot complex reports/extracts, mentor teams and individuals in the formation and processing of well-formed user stories in TFS, collect, organize and document user feedback balancing against timelines and budgets as well as organizing/driving the creation of best practices for process workflows, mapping documents, security configurations, batch job documentation, change requests, SQL queries, use cases, acceptance criteria and Sharepoint pages.
Collaborate closely with and often fill in for Business Analysts and developers , taking the lead when required to lead the creation of test plans, test scripts, test data, communication plans, bugs and report outs.
Perform duties as a member of a Scrum or Kanban agile team where they will be responsible for both organizing and mentoring any IS agile team (including their own) around team agreements, standards and approaches to ensure all teams successfully complete all commitments each sprint.
Act as a role model and proactively advocate for ensuring that teams continuously work to improve velocity and quality each sprint. Oncall and afterhours support duties are an expectation with this position.
Possess an understanding of Providence Health Plans and the Information Services departmental goals, strategies, roadmap and to perform all duties in a manner that promotes the team concept and reflects Providence’s mission, philosophy, and core values of respect, compassion, justice, excellence and stewardship.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent training and/or certifications in quality assurance for software
Certified Associate in Software Quality (CASQ)
Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST)
Certified Software Tester (CSTE)
QAI, IISB certification
3 years in equivalent role/position
Demonstrated experience in test design and test execution for softwares
Demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance and testing softwares
Demonstrated Test automation proposal / identification
Demonstrated experience taking leadership role in addressing system related issues.
Demonstrated experience using LEAN techniques in analyzing requirements for potential automation
Demonstrated expertise with ACA/CMS regulatory requirements, processes and reconciliation
