Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Supervisor, IS Lab Applications to our location in Portland OR, Beaverton OR, Seattle WA, Renton WA, Everett WA, Olympia WA, Spokane WA, Richland WA, Missoula MT, Anchorage AK, Burbank CA, Anaheim CA or Torrance CA.
We are seeking a Supervisor, IS Lab Applications to be responsible for supervising a team with the purpose of providing excellence in application planning, implementation and support for Providence St Joseph Health and affiliated organizations. Essential job responsibilities include deployment and resource planning, resource utilization, management of operational support initiatives, and providing administrative support for IS application solutions. Accountabilities include the following operational categories: Support of functional business partners, identification and assessment of technical road maps, managing requirements gathering, production support of assigned applications, and support and maximization of application usefulness. Responsible for managing, mentoring and developing staff. Works in close collaboration with customers and subject matter experts across the system. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes team, high quality customer interactions in associated service line and other clinical or business related areas.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Execute on enterprise level methodology and processes to support applications throughout the lifecycle process, including ongoing evaluation and ensuring adherence to organizational processes and methodologies.
Ensure that the Applications division supports IS services and systems effectively and meets the needs of the business.
Provide proficient verbal and written communications to customers, leadership, internal/external stakeholders, and vendors.
Manage customer expectations regarding measurement and ultimate success of Information Services deliverables, projects and initiatives; ensure measurable outcomes are defined and reported.
Partner with the affiliation program to ensure that legacy applications, resources and workflow are managed and addressed during integration processes. Ensures that ongoing processes are in place to address legacy support.
Maintain budgets and expenditures related to team operations and capital expense.
Facilitate teamwork including role definition, accountability, and motivate staff, including performance evaluations. Coordinate and facilitates teamwork, building and reaching consensus; agreeing upon a course of action where there are multiple perspectives.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Management, Business, or Healthcare Oriented degree or equivalent experience.
4 years of Information Services related experience.
2 years of Information Services leadership experience.
2 years of Enterprise clinical or business applications, EMR or Research systems implementation experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Prefer lab applications experience (i.e. Cerner, Pathnet, Epic, Blood Bank Point of Care etc.)
Lab workflow or floor experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management, Business, or Healthcare Oriented degree.
5 years of healthcare experience.
Knowledge of LAN/WAN fundamentals.
Advanced demonstrated analytical skills.
