Providence is calling a Software Developer 3 to Murray Business Center in Beaverton, OR.

WebDeveloper Specific Skillsets Needed:

  • Extensive knowledge of object oriented JavaScriptframeworks such as Angular.

  • Extensive knowledge of HTML/CSS web standards andresponsive web development.

  • A passion for accessibility standards such asWCAG 2.0 or 508 Compliance.

  • Familiarity with UX design patterns, usability,user interaction best practices, and style guides.

  • Photoshop experience and experience turningPhotoshop designs into polished web and mobile app experiences.

  • Understanding of cross browser developmentdifferences and a proven ability to debug and fix defects specific to browsers.

  • Experience creating front end designs thatdisplay data through REST API’s

  • Experience deploying responsive applications asdeployable native applications for phones/tablets.

  • Experience integrating front end code with .NETapplicationsThis position has a focus on Web Development CI-CD or SASS experience a bonus.

  • Be a member of an Agile software development team (Scrum or Kanban) in the Providence Health Plan (PHP) Information Services (IS) Department.

  • Be expected to work well within their agile team, foster collaboration, mentor teammates, and other members of the IS Department.

  • Provide leadership on technical issues all while embracing Agile Principles and Values.

  • Work with their team to proactively manage system availability and performance to meet business needs by leading and coordinating technical activities involving complex system integrations.

  • Facilitate coordination between with other Agile Teams, department resources, and vendors to resolve of complex system issues.

  • Provide expert guidance in tools, methodologies, standards, and best practices.

  • Perform a variety of technical administration, development, and support functions for Information Services.

  • Work with customers, vendors, consultants and other Information Services staff in performing duties.

  • Developers are required to provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis.

  • Be required to deal with issues that cannot be addressed remotely which will require on site presence within the specific SLA times.

  • Possess an understanding of the Providence Health Plans and Information Services goals and strategies.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 2 year degree plus 8 years of demonstrated software development experience in an enterprise environment, -or-

  • 4 year degree plus 6 years of demonstrated software development experience in an enterprise environment, -or-

  • 6 year degree plus 4 years of demonstrated software development experience in an enterprise environment

  • 10 years of demonstrated software development experience in an enterprise environment

  • Proficient using Microsoft productivity software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Prior Providence Health Plan (PHP) Experience
