Providence is calling a Software Developer 3 to Providence Health Plan in Beaverton, OR.

Fullstack .NET Skillsets Needed:

General/object-oriented programming

Write modular code

supporting ease of testing, maintenance, and extensibility;

Apply object-oriented

coding principles including: encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism;

Understand and apply

object oriented design patterns and N-Tier application design

Microsoft Visual Studio/C#.NET

Utilize Visual Studio to

create and maintain code;

Apply inheritance,

interfaces, abstract classes, and access modifiers;

Implement data access

using ADO.NET and Object Relational Mapping techniques;Deploy and configure

.NET assemblies to target production environments

Web development

Create and maintain web

applications using various web technologies including Microsoft ASP.NET MVC,

HTML5, C#, WCF, RESTful APIs, MuleSoft; Create and maintain client side scripting utilizing JavaScript

frameworks including jQuery

Data processing/Microsoft SQL Server

Create and maintain data

processing applications using Microsoft SQL Server

Design relational data

models

Resolve performance issues

Create and maintain ETL and other data processing packages using Visual

Studio/SSIS

Reporting applications a plus

Create and maintain

complex reports using Crystal Reports and SSRS;

Enterprise Application Integration(EAI) a plus

Design, create, and

maintain business integration applications built using ESB, .NET/WCF, WebAPI,

XML, XSLT, Informatica, and SQL; Analyze and process EDI X12 and other healthcare related

transactions

  • Be a member of an Agile software development team (Scrum or Kanban) in the Providence Health Plan (PHP) Information Services (IS) Department.

  • Be expected to work well within their agile team, foster collaboration, mentor teammates and other members of the IS Department, and provide opinion and expertise on technical issues all while embracing Agile Principles and Values.

  • Perform a variety of technical administration, development, and support functions for Information Services.

  • Work with customers, vendors, consultants and other Information Services staff in performing their duties.

  • Provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 8 years of demonstrated software development experience in an enterprise environment

  • 2 year degree plus 6 years of demonstrated software development experience in an enterprise environment -or-

  • 4 year degree plus 4 years of demonstrated software development experience in an enterprise environment -or-

  • 6 year degree plus 2 years of demonstrated software development experience in an enterprise environment
