Providence is calling a Software Developer 2 to Providence Health & Services in Beaverton, OR.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Working as an effective team member in an Agile Scrum or Kanban team.

  • Providing technical expertise and mentoring to their fellow Agile team members and members of other teams.

  • Gather and analyze complex business requirements.

  • Specify and implement technical plans for complex solutions.

  • Combine business and technical knowledge to gain agreement and implement solutions within cross-functional teams.

  • Verify correctness of software using manual and automated testing strategies.

  • Verify performance of software using load testing and other strategies.

  • Follow enterprise defined change control standards.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School or GED required.

  • 6 years of demonstrated software development experience in an enterprise environment OR

  • 2 year degree plus 4 years of demonstrated software development experience in an enterprise environment OR

  • 4 year degree plus 2 years of demonstrated software development experience in an enterprise environment.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Write modular code supporting ease of testing, maintenance, and extensibility

  • Apply object-oriented coding principles including: encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism

  • Understand and apply object oriented design patterns and N-Tier application design;

  • Utilize Visual Studio to create and maintain code

  • Apply inheritance, interfaces, abstract classes, and access modifiers

  • Implement data access using ADO.NET and Object Relational Mapping techniques

  • Deploy and configure .NET assemblies to target production environments

  • Create and maintain WCF services and bindings

  • Optimize performance and other behaviors using bindings and other mechanisms

  • Utilize best practices for developing and securing WCF services

  • Create and maintain data processing applications using Microsoft SQL Server

  • Design relational data models

  • Resolve performance issues

  • Create and maintain ETL and other data processing packages using Visual Studio/SSIS/ Informatica

  • Contribute to SOA based solutions using C#, WCF, WebAPI, ESB, and Informatica

  • Design, create, and maintain business integration applications built using ESB, .NET/WCF, WebAPI, XML, XSLT, Informatica, and SQL

  • Analyze and process EDI X12 and other healthcare related transactions

  • Create and maintain complex reports using Crystal Reports and SSRS

  • Create data sets supporting reports using SQL Server/SSIS/Informatica

  • Contribute to architecture of reporting platform solutions

  • Create and maintain custom SharePoint Web Parts and Applications (2013)

  • Write automated unit tests using Visual Studio

  • Utilize advanced testing techniques including mocks, fakes

  • Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience with 2010 and 2013 Sharepoint.

  • Experience with InfoPath and ShareGate tools
