Providence Health & Services Senior ERP Application Administrator - Lawson in Beaverton, Oregon

Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior ERP Application Administrator - Lawson to our location in Beaverton, OR.

We are seeking a Senior Application Administrator PSJH to use a wide application of complex principles, theories, and concepts in the specific field plus may have different knowledge or other related disciplines and provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Leads medium to large internal project work teams developing project plans and work plans. Analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems and devices or modifies procedures to process data and solve problems. Review schedules, cost and documentation to ensure success of projects. Mentors and assists others in support of applications, projects and goals in the context of the PHS technical environment.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Actively supports and incorporates the mission and core values into daily activities. Treats all others with respect and demonstrates excellence, justice and compassion in daily work and relationships with others. Demonstrates an understanding of complex customer needs and business processes.

  • Uses in-depth information and analysis to provide management with advice and counsel on a variety of business issues. Issues are often highly technical and complex in nature.

  • Leads project teams as needed.

  • Identifies and creates standards and processes to support the application portfolio management.

  • Monitors application lifecycle and collaborates with PHS technical resources on the technology lifecycle and roadmap supporting applications.

  • Responsible for an assigned portfolio of applications in collaboration with analysts, project managers, technical resources including engineers and architects and strategic partners.

  • Develops, facilitates and reports for technical environments test plans in collaboration with application analyst teams for application patches, upgrades and infrastructure configuration changes.

  • Assist others in gathering, assessing and troubleshooting of application failure root cause taking primary technical role on assessment of technical environment contributing to Major Incidents (MIs) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

  • Identify and create standards and processes to support the application portfolio management.

  • Demonstrates service excellence and positive interpersonal relationships in dealing with others, including patients/families/members, employees, managers, medical staff, volunteers, vendors and community members, so that productivity and positive relations are maximized.

  • Mentors team members including analysts and peers in use of tools, techniques, and analysis skills to maximize the results, efficiency, and responsiveness of the technical environment supporting applications.

  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with application and technical vendor client support and technical services staff.

  • Perform on as needed basis the duties of an Application Administrator

  • Perform rotational on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in various fields or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

  • Atleast 7 years of progressive IT experience in areas such as applications, server engineering (e.g., Windows, UNIX), database administration (e.g., MS-SQL, Oracle) with minimum 3 years of experience as Application Administrator of large-scale enterprise applications..

  • Strong experience in Healthcare IS

  • Strong experience with installation, configuration, upgrade, and deployment of technical environments and application in enterprise scope and scale settings

  • Experience with performance optimization and system/environment stabilization

  • Experience with configuring and maintaining system security at operating system and environment levels

  • Report writer software experience (e.g. Oracle BI Publisher) or equivalent

  • Competent in supporting the technical, operational, and application needs for a highly complex application or several moderately complex applications from end-to-end. Capable in technical or business side skills and highly knowledgeable in the alternate side.

  • Ability to schedule and troubleshoot standard and audit reports, perform data and role security administration, and schedule and maintain approval framework rules and BPM tasks

  • Skilled trainer of technical teams to effectively diffuse knowledge to analysts, command support center staff and service desk staff on trouble shooting processes, monitoring and triage.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with user interface to UNIX and/or Windows operating environments

  • Skilled development of multifaceted testing plans and processes for complex systems.

  • Knowledgeable in technical fields to include servers, storage, networking, and security.

  • Knowledgeable of application interface and integration processes, tools and monitoring systems.

  • Knowledgeable of technical infrastructures, hardware and network environments.Proficient in Microsoft office products

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Coursework/Training with various post graduate studies in a related field

  • Proficiency with scripting tools highly desirable

  • Ability to utilize monitoring tools to evaluate general health and performance of applications from end to end

  • Skilled in technical documentation of application system installations, diagnostic support, triage and complex system flows effectively utilizing the Microsoft Office portfolio and other tools
