Providence Health & Services Physical Therapist-Elderplace in Beaverton, Oregon

Description:

Providence is calling a Physical Therapist (0.0 FTE, Days) to Providence ElderPlace in Beaverton, OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Evaluate and treat ElderPlace geriatric participants with neurological, orthopedic, and muscular disorders to provide efficient, effective physical therapy services through direct services or orders to physical therapy assistants.

  • Utilize artificial aids such as diathermy, whirlpool, and prosthetic devices, therapeutic exercise techniques, emotional support, and educational training to restore or maintain mobility and function to geriatric participants, reduce pain, and promote healing.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate of a physical therapy curriculum approved by one of the following:

  • The American Physical Therapy Association

  • The Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association.

  • The Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.

  • Other equivalent organizations approved by the Secretary

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree

  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Oregon

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification

  • 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population

  • Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner as assigned

  • In compliance with company policy and state regulations, a Department of Human Services (DHS) criminal background check may be required for this position based upon the location of the position. Fingerprinting may be required also.
